Dive into The Body Shop’s Activism Strategy piece – a visual symphony addressing local social justice issues. In my role as art director and lead designer for this project, I curated the tone of voice for these micro campaigns, illustrated and designed a vibrant library of assets that breathe life into our advocacy. Every image tells a story, sparking conversations and inspiring action. To amplify our impact globally, I crafted a comprehensive design toolkit that stands as a testament to the power of design in driving meaningful change.

Love Your Body Club Concept 2020
The brief is to redesign the membership club concept. ‘Treat Your Body, Treat Nature.’ We should treat nature as we treat our bodies. My concept connects people to nature, helping them make a positive difference. It also raises awareness of The Body Shop’s environmental mission and reminds customers that it’s an ethical brand.
When a customer joins Love Your Body Club, The Body Shop will donate a percentage to Rainforest Protection charities, each time the customer spends. The offer includes a free gift when joining the club: Amazonian Rainforest Face Mist. This reinforces the message and focuses attention on the rainforest.
In depicting a rainforest I chose illustration as the medium to convey warmth and empathy. My illustration uses the rainforest to form the silhouette of a human figure, as a metaphor connecting body and nature. The natural tones and colours I have chosen are selected from the brand palette so that the illustration clearly represents The Body Shop. This allows the landing page to be consistent and aligned with other web content.
